UD Display Serie:
Die UD-Serie beinhaltet eine Reihe von Displays zur Anzeige von Zeit und Datum. Die UD-Displays können Timecode, die lokale Zeit, eine Zeitzone oder eine Stoppuhr anzeigen. Eine interne Uhr überbrückt Signalausfälle Alle Anzeigen sind sechsstellig im Format Stunden, Minuten und Sekunden, wobei die Sekunden-Anzeige bei einigen Modellen als LED-Sekundenring ausgeführt sind. Die LED`s haben drei umschaltbare Farben (rot, grün, gelb), sind 25 oder 56 mm hoch und sind in der Helligkeit einstellbar. Die Helligkeit hat entweder einen festen Wert oder wird per Lichtsensor adaptiv nachgesteuert. Universelle Interfaces erlauben LTC- und Datenanzeige. Sie werden ergänzt durch den MTD-Modus zur Anzeige von Zeit-zonen und Stoppuhren. Alle Displays sind bezüglich der Anzeigemöglichkeiten kompatibel, es gibt jedoch zwei Gruppen von Interfaces. UD-Displays haben einen LTC-Eingang, eine RS 485-Schnittstelle, eine umschaltbare RS 422/ 232-Schnittstelle und vier GPI-Eingänge (z.B. Tastaturanschluß für Stoppuhr). |

Es gibt mehrere Protokolle für die Datenübertragung per serieller Schnittstelle, die in der Konfiguration des Displays selektiert werden können. Als Sonderprotokoll ist das von Alpermann+Velte entwickelte MTD-Protokoll implementiert. MTD organisiert die übertragung von bis zu sechzehn verschiedenen Zeiten über einen LTC und den Transport der Formatangaben für das Display. |

Displays mit der Endbezeichnung E (UDxxxE) haben ein Ethernetinterface anstelle der vorher genannten Schnittstellen. Als Protokolle werden MTD, NTP (Client) und PTP genutzt. Es können mehrere Server adressiert werden, um Ausfälle zu überbrücken. Eine SNMP-Überwachung ist optional erhältlich. |

Die Konfiguration des Displays, dazu gehören Auswahl des Protokolls, Anzeigeformat, Helligkeit und Farbe, erfolgt über USB oder per Browser. Software-Updates gehen über die USB-Schnittstelle. |
