Word Clock Modul MW:
Gen.locked to a system reference signal, the Rubidium module "MW" delivers Word Clock signals in a highly accurate manner. With the included input and output connections the unit was intended for a stand-alone functionality, as a component of a comprehensive generator system or as a part of a master fail-proof system. Also available are distribution amplifiers modules with four separate outputs or six failsafe amplified outputs specifically designed for redundant systems.
MW delivers the following frequencies:
| Nominal:
|
44,1 and 48 kHz
|
| f x 2
|
88,2 and 96 kHz
|
| f x 4
|
176,4 and 192 kHz
|
The module has four outputs of which each output can be individually configured to output any of the before mentioned frequencies. The output levels are adjustable in each case.
The selections of reference signals, the output level and frequencies as well as other functions are made using a windows interface menu via the included software and the standard USB interface. If an RUB IE (Ethernet) module is present anywhere in the system, then a web browser configuration is also possible.
The output frequencies are derived from the input reference. In most cases, the in-put reference signal is a second pulse that is supplied by a GPS receiver. As an extremely stable add-on option, a 10 MHz-reference frequency (derived from a GPS receiver) can also be connected to this module.
The below mentioned signals can optio-nally also be used as a reference input:
1. FBAS video signal
2. LTC
3. Word Clock
The programmable functions include the choice of the reference, the level and frequency of the output signals as well as the allocation of the GPI`s. Programming is completed with a PC software via the USB connection located on the Rubidium housing.
Further standard functions included the programming of the function keys and LED "diodes", both located on the front of each module. If an IE (Ethernet) module is present in the system, configuration is then also possible via a web browser and this optional Ethernet module also enables various SNMP monitoring functions and status reports.
