Alpermann+Velte has developed a professional master Time Code and timer solution in one small package. Space is often a factor, and this is why with extensive work with European OB van producers and TV studios over the past 10 years, Alpermann+Velte has constructed a small 1RU 19" product that has all the Time Code functions required for non redundant Time Code systems. The base requirement for this system is our Rubidium Time Code Generator GT.

The LTC is synchronised to a blackburst stream and a real-time source (GPS, various radio clock signals, another LTC, IRIG B or information from our TC_link). A cost effective GPS mouse can be directly connected to the "GT" where NMEA and other protocols can be directly processed.

In addition to generating, reading and converting Time Code the GT module has a built-in multifunctional timer system. With the use of a separately available backlit keypad, up to 6 individually configurable timers or time zones can be programmed into the userbits of the outgoing Time Code. These times/timers can be displayed on Alpermann+Velte's wide variety of timer and Time Code displays.

A single RUB H1 housing has space for four modules. Therefore a housing with a "GT" and a "PS" power supply module installed has two more spots available for various additional modules with other functions such as, video inserters (AT, AV, DT, DV), a GPS-module (GPS 10MHz) or a Ethernet module (IE). There are several options available for the Ethernet module like a SNMP agent and a NTP server software.
