Alpermann + Velte developed Audio Embedder / De-Embedder

Alpermann + Velte developed a digital audio embedding upgrade for their existing video Timecode inserters HV + DV.

Due to customers wishes, a solution of embedding digital audio into a video stream had to be found in time and the answer was created in May 2009. Every Alpermann + Velte DV and HV inserter module from the Rubidium Series can now be equipped with an AES3 digital audio embedder or a de-embedder with only a small hardware upgrade. After that modification on the modules circuit board, there are two digital stereo audio channels available per module.
The new feature list consists of the functionalities of an AES3 digital audio embedder or de-embedder, a Timecode reader / converter / inserter for VITC, ATC, UMID and ancillary data and the connectivity with MTD and TC-link. Modules can read and be genlocked to SDI (DV) and HD SDI (HV). A video bypass relay can optionally be added.
