How to set up a NTP server with PCI TS

PCI TS is not a NTP server itself, but it synchronizes the PC's clock to the incoming LTC. You can use any NTP server for windows to distribute the PC's clock to your network.

Here are some hints how to setup ntpd:

We're using the Meinberg installation routine. After installing it in it's default configuration without time reference, two lines have to be added to ntpd.conf:

server 127.127.1.0 prefer
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 0

After restarting the NTP service, you have to wait some minutes . The server will start in the INIT state with reference timestamp 0, but after some minutes it will change to LCL (local clock) and fill in the reference timestamp.
